USDC
USDC is a stablecoin issued by Circle. It’s pegged to the US dollar — 1 USDC = $1, always. Unlike ETH or other cryptocurrencies, USDC doesn’t fluctuate in value. When an agent pays $0.001, you receive $0.001. No volatility, no FX risk, no conversion needed. USDC is one of the most widely held and trusted stablecoins, with over $40B in circulation and deep liquidity across every major exchange.Base

Why this combination works for agent payments
AI agents make hundreds or thousands of API calls. Traditional payment rails can’t support this:- Credit cards — require human authorization, chargebacks, monthly billing cycles
- Stripe — $0.30 + 2.9% minimum fee makes micropayments uneconomical
- Crypto on Ethereum mainnet — gas fees exceed the payment value at small amounts
Wallets
Your MonkePay wallet is a Coinbase CDP wallet provisioned automatically when you create your account. It receives USDC from every agent payment. You don’t manage private keys — MonkePay handles custody. Your payout address is your personal wallet where you withdraw your balance. This can be any EVM wallet — MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, a hardware wallet, or any address you control. Agent wallets are wallets held by the agent making payments.
